One Star Health Vacations

Hiya everyone :) I have been vacationing on the island. I have been sorting through the multiple blogs, social networks, radio shows, and other sites I have spending time on and have whittled the list down to my very favorites as to focus on the ones I can better manage. I absolutely love to post on different Blogs and Social Networks and enjoy doing reviews on these sites :) I also enjoy Video Games and Gaming, with a few favorites and am currently working on a few very cool sites along these lines.

Let me tell you a bit about my venture and vacation over the past four weeks :)

This is one of the coolest places I have ever been with a couple of large towns surrounded by various smaller ones. The people of this community are the absolute best and interaction with them is always a joy. There is always something new and exciting happening so be sure not to blink :)

Visiting the various landscapes of the island is an adventure in itself. On one side of the island are lush forested landscapes and farther to the east are desert lands, some sprinkled with palm trees and beautiful water features. Areas so vast that you may not come across another person for long stretches of time and towns packed to the gills, where you interact and make countless friends.

With so much to keep you busy, there is never a dull moment. If you enjoy some great fishing spots, this is the place for you. Ready areas to cook them up are available for your pleasure and experience as well. I become an expert in one of the activities they have to offer having fun and gaining experience along the way. Parties and groups get together regularly to travel into charted and uncharted territories. Get points with the island owners by ridding the towns of unwanted visitors and enemies using your gifted skills. A most relaxing and fulfilling vacation spot.

The towns are equipped for travelers from across the globe with banks, vendors for countless items, transportation, and food. The weather is always beautiful on the island as it hasn't rained in some time, seemingly never :) Always a friendly experience with helpful characters and visitors.

So...where am I talking about? Hmmmm....what is this island and where is it located? The Caribbean? Off Key West's Coast or Florida's East Coast?...

Incorporate an exercise plan that allows even at least fifteen minutes a day like brisk walking, running, swimming, and dancing.

Set realistic approaches. The ability to focus and have proper mindset enables someone on a diet to quickly lose those extra pounds. With discipline and proper mind set, a dieter will never be discouraged and lose focus.

Listen as the body speaks. Each and everyone's body metabolism reacts differently to fast weight loss programs and plans. Try substituting one program for another to compensate the body's reaction. Your chosen exercise program must be suitable to your body, as some are not able to exercise as rigorously as others can. If walking is all that can be done, then walk, for this is proven the best exercise. Muscles burn more calories than fat so it's best to put on a little muscle.

Eating more fibers makes a person full sooner and stays in the tummy longer, slowing down the rate of digestion. A single serving of whole grain bread moves fat through the digestive system faster. Grains turn into blood sugar and spikes the body's insulin level, making the body more energized. Ready to tell the body when it should stop burning fats or start storing.

Keep away from fried foods especially deep fried as this contains a great amount of fat. Although fish and chicken appear leaner than beef, this white meat can contain more fat when it is fried. It is recommended for those on a strict diet to opt for grilled food as this does not have or contains less amounts of fat after the food is cooked.

Drink lots of fluid. Drinking at least six to eight glasses of water a day keeps the body refreshed. Since weight loss depends on how the body eliminates body wastes, the body must stay hydrated.

All in all, discipline and consistency is still the best practice and the key to a rapid weight loss success. Light dieting, working out regularly, and right amount of supplementation everyday will result in faster weight loss than having a massive action only to be followed by a return to old habits. This would only lead to gaining more weight than when the weight loss plan had started.

There is a lot a person can do such jogging or walking in the morning, playing basketball or any other sport with friends but if a person wants to have muscles and look lean, the best thing to do will be to workout in a gym situation, either as a member of an city gym, a large chain gym or having your equipment with you at your home.

Physical exercise is beneficial because it helps maintain and improve your health. You may be saved from a variety of diseases and premature death. The best exercise plan should have cardiovascular and weight training exercises. This helps burn calories and increase the muscle to fat ratio that will increase metabolism and make you either gain or lose weight.

Genes play big roles in a person’s health. But these do not influence what you will eat at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the kind of activity that you will engage in. You've heard it before, "Take The Stairs" instead of the elevator or escalator, Park a bit further away from the shop or your work, these little extra steps WILL add up and get you where you want to be in more ways than one ;)

If your lifestyle will not be healthy, chances are, you can never be a fitness model.

Have a positive self image

In order to be a fitness model, you have to incorporate positive body image in your life. This means that you should love your body in spite of what is happening in the environment or the occurrences in your life.

You should never wish for a body that you know it is not yours. Do not burden yourself into thinking that life could have been better if you only have thinner thighs or beautiful abs.

Through positive self-image, you are able to gain respect for yourself, which in turn generates others to respect you and admire you.

Fakin' it until you make it, think on this, have you ever seen a talent show? And there were 2 performers that stood out, one because you knew they would have one on their talent but, they had no confidence and held back, acted shy or just didn't give it their all, then the other one actually won! They may not have been the most talented, but they won because of the way they presented themselves :)

The key point here is that, being a fitness model is not all about vanity and physical attributes alone. What matters most is the beauty of being physically fit and healthiness that radiates from your body.

Wine



My Dad sent this to me as an email and I enjoyed it so much I had to share :)

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine ... and those who don't.

As Ben Franklin said: "In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria."

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember: Water = Poop, Wine = Health
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of shit.
